To install the keyboard on your computer so you that you can type using the ADLaM font, please follow these instructions:
If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista
You need to first install the Fulfulde Font Software by completing these steps:
- Click on Download Ngudirgal
- Click Run at the bottom of your
- Click Run again after the security scan has completed
- Click Yes
- Click Yes again
- Click Next
- Click Next again
- Install
The second step is to install the Keyboards
- Click on the Windows Start button

- Click on All Programs
- Click on the Fulfulde Fonts folder
- Go to Fulfulde Keyboards
- Depending on what type of keyboard you use select Qwerty or Azerty
- Each Keyboard will have three Font Face
- Fulfulde - Aissata
- Fulfulde - Fuuta
- Fulfulde - Pular
- Click oeach one of them and click on Setup. This will install the keybaord with the corresponding font face
The last step is activating the Arabic language Keyboard
The ADLaM font is currently based on the arabic keyboard since it writes from right to left as Arabic. So anytime you need to type using the ADLaM font, you need to swich your computer from EN to AR
- Click on the Windows Start button

- Go to Control Panel
- Click on Clock, Language, and Region
- Click on Region and Language
- Go to Keyboards and Languages
- Click on the Change Keyboards button
- Click on the Addbutton
- Look for Arabic (Saudi Arabia)
- Check the three Fulfulde Fonts you just installed
- Click OK
- On the Language Bar tab, select Docked in the taskbar if you prefer the language tool on your taskbar or select Floating on Desktop if you want the language toolbar floating on your screen
- Click OK and OK again
Launch a microsoft office program: MS Word, Powerpoint, etc
Make sure you switch to Arabic on the language toolbar
In the Program you chose to open, select one of the Fulfulde font you just installed
