Keyboard for the old fonts

To install the keyboard on your computer so that you can type using the ADLaM font, please follow these instructions:

If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista

You need to first install the Fulfulde Font Software by completing these steps:

The second step is to install the Keyboard

•  Click on the Windows Start button
• Click on All Programs
• Click on the Fulfulde Fonts folder
• Go to Fulfulde Keyboards
• Depending on what type of keyboard you use select Qwerty or Azerty
• Each Keyboard will have three Font Face. You only need to install one
  • Fulfulde - Aissata
  • Fulfulde - Fuuta
  • Fulfulde - Pular
• Click on one of them and click on Setup. This will install the keybaord.

The last step is activating the Arabic language Keyboard

The ADLaM font is currently based on the arabic keyboard since it writes from right to left as Arabic. So anytime you need to type using the ADLaM font, you need to swich your computer from EN to AR

• Click on the Windows Start button
• Go to Control Panel
• Click on Clock, Language, and Region
• Click on Region and Language
• Go to Keyboards and Languages
• Click on the Change Keyboards button
• Click on the Addbutton
• Look for Arabic (Saudi Arabia)
• Check the three Fulfulde Fonts you just installed
• Click OK
• On the Language Bar tab, select Docked in the taskbar if you prefer the language tool on your taskbar or select Floating on Desktop if you want the language toolbar floating on your screen
• Click OK and OK again

Launch a microsoft office program: MS Word, Powerpoint, etc

Make sure you switch to Arabic on the language toolbar

In the Program you chose to open, select one of the Fulfulde font you just installed

New Fonts

To use Google's ADLaM font on your computer, first download the font and then the keyboard

1.  Installer la police/Install Font Noto Sans ADLaM
2. Télécharger/Download Clavier pour Noto ADLaM
3. Ouvrir le fichier et double cliquer sur/Open the folder and double click on Setup
4. Dans la configuration pour les Langues le clavier s'appelle Adlam. Cependant, avant de commencer à ecrire, il faut changer la langue à l'Arabe en bas juste à côté de la montre.
5. Lorsque vous commencer à écrire et que des carreaux apparaissent, sélectionner tous ces carreaux et choisissez Noto Sans Adlam
